Nathan Perry (1793-1870) acquired this land sometime before 1850. He later sold off a one-acre plot to Joseph Hutchins (Aug. 5, 1850; 74:377) which became 331 Village Road. Census records show Nathan and his family on the property in the 1850, 1860, and 1870 censuses. The estimated build date of the farmhouse was 1862, so it likely replaced an earlier dwelling. As of 1881, Nathan’s son William L. Perry was living there.
